Tunapie

If you’re an Internet streaming audio/video addict, then tunapie is home. Tunapie is a free software and Open Source of course. It is a directory browser, from where it fetches radio and TV listings. It can even retrieve listings from shoutcast or icecast servers. It is licensed under the GNU/GPL2. It has a pretty impressive yet simple user interface, written in Python, and can integrate with external programs like audacious for playing the audio streams, vlc or totem to play the video broadcasts, streamripper to record the playing streams, mozilla for the browser and xterm for the X Terminal. These are only the default applications. It can be integrated with about any of the applications that do the above things. You can download the platform-independent source code for Tunapie from here.
