I just read about Adeona , the first Open Source system for tracking the location of your lost or stolen laptop that does not rely on a proprietary, central service. That is ofcourse something every linux lovin laptop traveling moosy blog visitor should know about. And on a mac, it even takes pictures of the thief on its webcam.
