Confused? you're asking what the hell is Jetty? Well its not a game thats for sure, it's actually a web and application server that will let Android users serve data stored on the phone such as contact details, system settings and call log within a browser window. You can also modify, view and listen to multimedia files which is really cool. The Android vewrsion of Jetty will be called i-Jetty [everything has an 'i' nowadays] and is developed by webtide who a global company that specializes in supporting and serving scalable Web 2.0 applications using Java, Ajax, and Comet. The company is the lead developer of the open source Jetty:// Java web server and Hightide, a comprehensive toolset for the development of scalable web 2.0 applications. Google Android has been seeing a host of great applications coming it's way, and we can bet that the Android Developer Challenge will only make things allot more inyeresting. You can check out the i-jetty page here.
