HP Competes with Eee PC

It seems all the big Computer manufacturers are are squirming over the success so far of Asus Eee PC which is basically a Micro Laptop. While not as powerful as normal Notebooks, the Eee PC makes up for that in it's easy portability.

Now after months of Asus Eee PC making headlines everywhrre, HP has finally gotten themselves in the party with the likes of the HP 2133 Mini-Note which has either a 7" or 8" screen and is powered by VIA's C7-M processor, clocked at up to 1.6GHz.

Compared to the Eee PC this baby is boasting 2GB of 667MHz DDR 2 memory on board, and storage options include 120GB or 160GB, 5400rpm or 7200rpm hard drives, Bluetooth 2.0 (optional), and Wi-Fi. Did I mention that it runs Linux? Yeah it runs SuSe Linux so all Ubuntu users like myself will be passing this one by.

For the non Linux Advocates, there will be versions with XP and Vista installed so get ready to shop till Android takes over the planet.
