It didn’t take even few hours for the bad guys (or bots) to discover the newly opened Slax forum. Spam started to appear really fast. For that reason, I’ve disabled the posting for few hours and I did my best to implement bayesian filtering (you will perhaps know that from email clients).

Simply said, users will mark spam messages and the software will learn how to recognize any similar texts in the future. If you are interested how to calculate the probability, see wikipedia.

The forum is now open for posting. I hope that the filtering will work, unless someone marks all valid posts as spam But if that happens, it can be easily fixed. Now, I have to go for some sleep, it’s late night here.
