With Sprint falling down the carrier ladder due to customer service problems, fellow Open Handset Alliance Member Samsung has jumped in to help with their new phone called the "Instinct". The phone will cost less than $300, but not everyone will be able to purchase the Instinct, apparently you will have to sign up for Sprint's simply everything plan which starts at $69 a month for 450 minutes of phone calls and unlimited data services. For $99 a month.
This announcemebnt was made at the CTIA wireless show at LAS VEGAS today
Not much has been revealed about the phone at this time, all that is known right now is that it has up to 4hrs talk time and Samsung will throw in a extra memory card and battery, it will have touch screen interface similar to the iPhone that is 3" in size (the ladies won't be impressed with that size)
Sprint will be marketing the hell out of this new product in hopes to gain back those subsribers that has, um, unsubscribed? yeah i think that is the word. $100 Million will be the amount of money that will spent on Advertisememts, wish i had some of that.
