Web Content 2008 Presentation

Wednesday was day two of Web Content 2008, and I presented in the afternoon on the rise of user-contributed content and community, and the impact that’s had on content management. I had thought about calling it “From Content Management to Community Management” or maybe “Content Management is Dead” but ended up instead with: “Upload, Tag, Share, Discuss: Content Management in the Age of Participation.”

Censorship Vs. Protection: A Code of Conduct for Bloggers?

Web users and bloggers went tête à tête in recent survey of Internet users conducted by the legal firm, DLA Piper. The survey focused on the possibility of instituting a voluntary code of conduct for bloggers and online commentators. There was a noticeable divide: nearly half of all internet users would support such a code whereas only 34% of bloggers did. image image image image image image
