CTIA: Sprint unvieled the Instinct, iPhone slayer

With Sprint falling down the carrier ladder due to customer service problems, fellow Open Handset Alliance Member Samsung has jumped in to help with their new phone called the "Instinct". The phone will cost less than $300, but not everyone will be able to purchase the Instinct, apparently you will have to sign up for Sprint's simply everything plan which starts at $69 a month for 450 minutes of phone calls and unlimited data services. For $99 a month. This announcemebnt was made at the CTIA wireless show at LAS VEGAS today Not much has been revealed about the phone at this time, all that is known right now is that it has up to 4hrs talk time and Samsung will throw in a extra memory card and battery, it will have touch screen interface similar to the iPhone that is 3" in size (the ladies won't be impressed with that size) Sprint will be marketing the hell out of this new product in hopes to gain back those subsribers that has, um, unsubscribed? yeah i think that is the word. $100 Million will be the amount of money that will spent on Advertisememts, wish i had some of that.

Former Sprint CEO recieved $40 million in 2007

For a Company that is bleeding chips so much money shouldn't be thrown away on one man who help to Sprint's fall from Glory. Sprint WiMax Network Nationwide Idea Revived

WiMax nation wide deployment in the US has risen again, this time with added force in the form of Cable Companies like Comcast and Time Warner whom discovered new interest in backing WiMax. According to the Wall Street Journal, Comcast could put in over a Billion dollars while Time Warner would only shed out USD$500 million. Cable Companies are not the only ones backing WiMax, the God like hands of Google are also in the mix, you can bet Android will benefit, followed by the OHA member Intel who are masters of bridging the gap between the internet and the Speed of Light. All these big name companies will work with Sprint another OHA member who will be the one providing the service throughout the United States. From Article: Big money may be lining up behind WiMax and a network rollout across the country to support it. Sprint and Clearwire fumbled around with this for months, like a teen couple on prom night in the back of a Honda Fit. As in uncomfortably.

AT&T and Verizon top the FCC Spectrum Auction

The Auction is over and now it's time to announce the top two lucky winners of the Wireless Spectrum. As many like myself has already known before hand, Google would not win a single bid at the Auction, they actually played to lose but when you look at it from another perspective, you'll say they played to win without spending a dime. Google bid USD$4.6 Billion for the C Block, but they were outdone by Verizon Wireless which bid a maximum of $9.6 billion for 108 licenses, thats included the C Block. From before the Auction came to an end, analysts were saying that Verizon would be the likely candidate to win and so they have, now only if they and Google would play nice. On the other hand we have AT&T who won the most Spectrum at the Auction. AT&T bought 227 licenses for $6.6 billion, not as much money as Verizon because these Spectrums are smaller compared to what Verizon has won. Sadly, Sprint and T-Mobile didn't partake in the Spectrum Auction which is a disappointment to say the least.
