MicroCyte: A new low cost CMS

We have just recently released our new Content Management System called MicroCyte. MicroCyte is a inexpensive light-weight CMS which 'layers' over the top of a website. The developer builds their site how they want it to look and work and then tells MicroCyte which areas of the site to content manage. The content editing side of the CMS is front end driven so the CMS user effectively uses the site as they normally would and then edits the content, images, etc as they see it in the page. This approach is good for both ease of use and ease of development and means a relatively non-technical developer can add full content management to the site they are building in a matter of hours. It also means that development is driven by the look, design and functionality of the site rather than by being limited by what the CMS can and can't do. Advertisement: read more

Press Release: Sitefinity CMS v3.2 improves user experience

Telerik, a leading vendor of developer tools and components for .NET, is happy to present Sitefinity CMS v3.2 – a flexible, hassle-free development platform for the construction and management of websites, intranets, and community portals. Sitefinity v3.2 is the succeeding milestone in Telerik’s quest for a feature-rich web development tool with unrivaled usability and compatibility. “There are many CMS platforms on the market that offer rich functionality for both end user and developers. The comprehensive web development tools, however, always come at the expense of usability. When selecting a CMS, customers usually are up against the trade off “complete vs. user-friendly” platform. We spotted that business opportunity and have been continuously working on providing a comprehensive development platform that does not sacrifice the freedom of both web developers and end-users, yet offers simplicity and ease-of-use” says Vassil Terziev, Telerik CEO. “Sitefinity v3.2 represents a final touch to offering complete content publishing functionality that comes with intuitive user experience”.
