Hotkey terminal in Gnome with openSUSE 11.0

I like hotkeys, or ...don't like a mouse. My openSUSE 10.3 trick does not work in openSUSE 11.0

To define a hotkey in openSUSE 11.0 with compiz enabled do the following:

launch ccsm > commands > run terminal and set shortcut key

Thanks Jigish for pointing me to the CompizConfig Settings Manager.

gnome-terminal --geometry=140x40 will adjust the default size of the terminal window.

As we have learned that sometimes you just need fonts like Times New Roman and many others that are provided from Microsoft. So, are you here because you wanted to find out how to install the said fonts. So here’s what we’ll do. First

ACPI alarm and openSUSE 11.0

Tested the ACPI Alarm function in openSUSE 11.0. A very important feature for a media center. It worked in openSUSE 10.2 but was disabled in openSUSE 10.3 due to issues. So my production media center is still running good old openSUSE 10.2. I failed my first tests with openSUSE 11.0. The /sys/class/rtc/rtc0/wakealarm file seems to stay empty when I write a time to it. Could be because of the
