This tutorial shows how to configure a MySQL 5.1 cluster with five nodes: 1 x management, 2 x storage nodes and 2 x balancer nodes. This cluster is load-balanced by an Ultra Monkey package which provides heartbeat (for checking if the other node is still alive) and ldirectord (to split up the requests to the nodes of the MySQL cluster).

In contrast there was little attention paid to the SourceFire. Actually if you ask most open source users about SourceFire they would probably answer “SourceWho?” If you ask open source users if they have heard of ClamAV or Snort they probably would be able to tell you that they are the leading open source software for virus protection and intrusion detection respectively.

I’ve run some data load tests with various databases using DBMonster, so connecting to databases through JDBC on a WindowsXP personal computer.
Here are the results, in both cases I loaded 100 rows in the parent table and 1000 in the child table, with foreign keys enabled.
